NOAH’S ARC FOUNDATION is happy to announce the integration of the “Water for the World” initiative into its ongoing philanthropy and core foundation.
While the Noah’s Arc team has worked tirelessly to incorporate philanthropy and support for programs within Chicago, we have also been expanding our philanthropic endeavors and working on numerous projects.
The “Water for the World” initiative is one such project that we are extremely proud of. With the rise of water scarcity and insecurity throughout the world we strongly believe that innovation and technology will play an important role in the path to water security. Atmospheric water generators (AWG’s), create pure drinking water from the moisture in the air, and are proving to be instrumental in creating sustainable water programs throughout the world.
The Maka project, launched by Aquavera foundation with the help of Altitude Water & NAF aims to bring safe and reliable drinking water over the next twenty years to the village of Maka, in Cameroon, West Africa. Maka, which has a community of over 1000 people has faced tremendous hardship, high rates of infant mortality and high levels of insecurity due to the lack of access to clean drinking water.
We, at NAF, have been extremely grateful to have acted as a bridge in connecting the instrumental relationship between Aquavera & Altitude Water for the creation of the Maka project. We have high hopes that this is the first of many such projects in the “Water for the World” initiative.
